Watch this video to see a sampling of how our teachers engage young children with hands-on math activities. Ms Carolyn is showing how to make a necklace (or bracelet) out of cheerios. Don't eat the necklace until you count how many cheerios!

This is a challenging EXTENSION with the cheerios necklace, using the Montessori bead bars to match the number quantity of the cheerios on Ms Carolyn's necklace to the golden beads and the colored bead bars. An early exploration with the decimal system.
